This Lead will develop and leads custom software applications efforts for the client user community consisting of approximately 4,500 intramural employees, contractors, and collaborators. However, applications are increasingly being developed for access by the public, and so the scope and visibility of any developed application may be unlimited. Custom applications have been developed in the following functional areas: Scientific Reporting Services and System Support; Grants Management Systems; Contracts Managements Systems; Human Resources Management Systems; Administrative Management Systems; and Other Management Systems. The ideal candidate should have strong software architecture & development experience and be very comfortable in learning an existing product and adjusting product architecture as customer requirements or technology evolves.

Integration Development:
Design, develop, and implement integration solutions using TIBCO (e.g., TIBCO BW, TIBCO EMS, TIBCO API Management) and MuleSoft (Anypoint Platform, Mule 4).
Build and manage APIs using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, ensuring reusability and adherence to enterprise architecture.
Middleware Management:
Develop and manage workflows, business processes, and messaging solutions with TIBCO.
Manage MuleSoft connectors to integrate with various enterprise systems, databases, and external APIs.
Performance Optimization:
Conduct performance tuning of integration applications and API gateways for scalability and resilience.
Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing integrations.
Collaboration & Documentation:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design integration flows, and ensure successful implementation.
Maintain detailed documentation for integrations, APIs, and system interactions.
Testing and Deployment:
Develop and execute unit and integration test cases.
Implement CI/CD pipelines for MuleSoft and TIBCO deployments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Expertise:
Strong hands-on experience with TIBCO Suite (BusinessWorks, EMS, API Exchange, etc.).
Proficiency in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including API Manager, Runtime Manager, and DataWeave.
Good knowledge of RESTful and SOAP web services and API design principles.
Familiarity with messaging protocols like JMS, AMQP, etc.
Programming & Scripting:
Proficiency in Java, Groovy, or other integration-friendly programming languages.
Knowledge of JSON, XML, XSLT, and XPath for data transformations.
