Job – Data Modeling & Architecture SME

Neevsys is currently seeking a subject-matter expert who sets the design foundation for backend engineering — the data models, standards, and architecture that keep the warehouse and data-quality pipelines coherent and scalable.

Responsibilities

• Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models across the program.
• Define data architecture, standards, and modeling conventions for backend engineering.
• Advise developers on schema design, normalization vs. dimensional modeling, and integration patterns.
• Support data quality and governance through sound model and metadata design.
• Review designs and guide technical direction for backend / data engineering.

Required skills

• Deep data modeling expertise — conceptual / logical / physical, normalization, and dimensional (star / snowflake).
• Data architecture across OLTP and analytical / warehouse systems.
• Strong SQL Server / relational database background.
• Ability to set standards and advise or mentor engineering teams.
• US work authorization; clearance eligibility per contract environment.

Preferred

• Data governance, master data management, or metadata management.
• Modeling tools (erwin, ER/Studio, or similar).
• Cloud data architecture (Azure Synapse, Snowflake, or similar).
