Responsibilities: The Project Manager will assist the government in developing and managing a centralized IT Transformation Office to support the various projects to transform the organization to save costs. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Maintenance of key progress tracking and reporting mechanisms between the PMO and its projects
- Establishment of an integrated work plan that relates the key milestones of the individual projects and highlighted key areas of dependency between those projects
- Structure and facilitation of the weekly, bi-monthly meeting with the PMO and the leadership
- Structure of issue and risk reporting and other management reporting needs
- Development and execution of various PM plans for the PMO;
- Communications Plan
- Scope Document / Project Charter
- RACI Document (Responsibility Assignment Matrix)
- Deliverables Matrix
- Other PMO Process Documents as required throughout the lifecycle of the Project(s)
- Manage and direct the project through the PM life cycle processes of initiation, planning, executing & controlling and close-out
- Determine, manage and control typical project components including, but not limited to scope, budget, schedule, deliverables, quality, risk, etc.
- Work effectively with project sponsors and stakeholders to resolve issues
- Utilize oral and written communication techniques to work effectively with project sponsors and stakeholders at all levels.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with setting up a PMO Office for large organizations
- 5+ years of experience with development of Project Management Program Practices and Processes;

- Experience with developing processes and setting up Change Control Boards
- Experience with managing Integrated Project Schedules
- Experience with Visual Basic Macros to modify Project Plans
- Experience with MS Project 2010 and SharePoint for Document Management
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Experience in writing VB Macros to automate Report Generation and tracking Project Metrics
- PMP certified (Strongly preferred)
